the fact that 95% of the marvel fandom are apologists for a whiny little asshole who attempted genocide just bc he has some daddy issues but they still hate on a man that’s been victimised and abused his entire life and expects him to just suddenly find some morals…
My problem with this post is that you’re mocking Loki’s abuses to show the severity of Ward’s.
Bad things have happened to both of them, and they are both messed up because of it. Don’t forget that Ward has killed as well, and if you say “Loki has killed more people”, then you’re stating that one life is worth less than many.
Also, on the subject of fans preferring Loki as a character: Loki is just more likeable. The trickster is going to be more widely liked than the traitor. Ward was not bad in a funny or cute or entertaining way. Ward was bad in a way that betrayed the audience. Obviously, that is a very intriguing plot and a lot of people like it more than Loki’s, but it isn’t a mainstream opinion among slightly more casual watchers.
